Police identify victims of multi-vehicle crash
Source: The Baltimore SunAug.迷你倉價錢 28--Anne Arundel County police have identified the victims of a fatal, multi-car collision that occurred during afternoon rush hour Tuesday, killing three people -- including two children -- and injuring six others.A truck slammed into a Toyota Camry, causing a chain reaction crash with six more vehicles, police said.Those killed were all from Warsaw, Va., and riding in the Toyota: Bethany Dawn Dempsey, 37, and her 14-year-old daughter, Lauren White, along with Abigail Randi Cullen, the 7-year-old daughter of driver Michael Thomas Cullen II. Cullen, Dempsey's boyfriend, is in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma, along with his 15-year-old son, who was not identified.In all, eight vehicles and 14 people were involved in the incident, which caused Route 3 to be shut down for several hours.According to police, shortly before 5 p.m., Jason Nathaniel Pagaypya, 36, of Waldorf was driving a flat-bed, commercial delivery truck southbound on Route 3, near the Route 32 overpass, about 50 miles per hour when he hit the back of the Toyota at full speed. He failed to slow down with other traffic, because of a back up associated迷你倉with a traffic signal at Route 175, police said."Preliminarily, it appears the contributing factor to the crash was driver error on the part of the operator of the" truck, police said in a statement, adding that alcohol and drugs do not appear to be involved. "Investigators are consulting with the state's attorney's office, and the investigation is ongoing."All of the Toyota's passengers were wearing seat belts, but the impact was so severe, it didn't matter, police said.The Toyota was pushed into other cars, causing a domino effect. Five people received minor injuries and were treated and released from an area hospital: a couple in their 60s, James and Denise Cox, of Waldorf along with three people driving separate vehicles -- Dana T. Cartwright, 34, of Bowie; Abiola O. Isola, 19 of Bowie; and April L. Avila, 36, of Glen Burnie.Three people were unhurt: Bernard M. Taylor, 59, of Mitchellville; Patricia J. Covington, 71, of Bowie; and Casey L.
